Renewable Generation

The program is designed for entry-level employment in the areas of wind, solar, geothermal, fuel cell, biomass, hydro and tidal generation. Graduates of the program will have the technical skills and knowledge needed to gain entry-level employment in this rapidly developing industry. Graduates will also possess the tools to stay abreast of the expected developments in the renewable generation of electricity.
Geared to working adults, the program offers up to 14 credit hours each semester. Courses vary from 3-6 weeks in length, depending on credit hours, and are offered sequentially each term. If may take up to two years to complete this degree if a student does not have prior learning or transfer credits.
Students have the following options: - Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Renewable Generation Technology - Program Certificate in Renewable Generation Technology
Bismarck State College is proud to include the Renewable Generation Technology program as part of the National Energy Center of Excellence portfolio of nationally-recognized energy education degree programs.
Credits from this program can be applied to BSC's Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Energy Management.
