Day of the Deployed

The Day of the Deployed began Oct. 26 2006, by Soldiers' Angels, a nonprofit organization that aids deployed American military personnel and their families. In 2010, 40 states had joined the effort by passing similar proclamations. In 2011 Senator Hoeven introduced Senate Resolution 253 proclaiming October 26 as the National Day of the Deployed which was passed unanimously.

Community College of the Air Force General Education Mobile (GEM)

General Education Mobile (GEM) enables students to register for online courses to meet their general education requirements for their Community College of the Air Force Degree.

Bismarck State College offers the following courses for CCAF students working toward the completion of their associate degree.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION
- ENGL 110 College Composition I (3 credits)

ORAL COMMUNICATION
- COMM 110 Fundamentals of Public Speaking (3 Credits)

SOCIAL SCIENCE
- HIST 103 United States to 1877 (3 Credits)
- HIST 104 United States since 1877 (3 Credits)
- PSYC 111 Introduction to Psychology (3 Credits)
- SOC 110 Introduction to Sociology (3 Credits)

MATHEMATICS
- MATH 102 Intermediate Algebra (3 Credits)
- MATH 103 College Algebra (4 Credits)

HUMANITIES
- PHIL 101 Introduction to Philosophy (3 Credits)
- PHIL 210 Ethics (3 Credits)

No Application Fee for Active Servicemembers!
Any student who provides documented proof of active military duty status will have the fee waived. Proper documentation includes a copy of one of the following:

- Common Access Card (CAC)
- Military ID indicating Active Duty Status
- Orders indicating Active Duty Status

A copy of the documentation may be faxed to the Admissions office at 701-224-5643 or emailed to BSC.Admissions@bismarckstate.edu.
